How people go through a train journey: tale of a French experience

Whether they go on vacation or on a business trip, alone or in a group, the train is still the preferred means of transportation for French people. The train experience isn’t limited to the hours actually spent on the train, but is organized in several stages upstream and downstream, which make the experience more complex: purchase, preparation, orientation at the station, arrival, etc. The whole train experience exposes users to a range of different situations, whose drivers we examined in this report.
